Hello
Bitches!
This past week was a rollercoaster
ride of highs and lows. Romaine got sick and called out from Tuesdays show,
missing one of her favorite guests: Suzanne Whang from HGTV’s Househunters.
Derek talked about his own search for a house now that he has been inspired by
Romaine to get more space and a yard far from the noise of the city. This
weekend he went out looking at his first set of houses, including the Barbie
dream house. What did he find? You’ll just have to tune in to find out.
Romaine did report that her poop had
returned to normal, ending a line of conversation that relieved just about
everyone. Her cat also finally got out of the crawl space. So she is two for two
now. 80s pop icon Tiffany joined
the show for an interview which prompted a new game “Tiffany, Debbie (Deborah
Gibson) or Romaine” in which listeners were given a piece of trivia (aka who
posed nude) and needed to answer Tiffany, Debbie or Romaine (or in the example
case, all three). Derek got a call on the air from John Rutherford from Colt Studio to let him know that he has
been nominated
for a GayVN award for best non-sex role in the hit Big Rig. Maybe now that
short and ugly troll will stop trying to have his Wikipedia entry
deleted because he isn’t notable enough.
Derek also showed Romaine the “Scary Mary” horror movie
parody of Mary Poppins on YouTube, which she thought was very funny. Derek and
Romaine also talked about the upcoming Queer Favorite awards. Voting is now
underway for the annual Queer
Favorites, the best in movies, TV shows, books and music. Cast
your votes now for your favorites and then tune in on January
30th for the star-studded Queer Favorites Awards. Already confirmed
as presenters this year: Chad Allen, Rip Taylor
and Robert Gant. So go to SiriusOutQ.com now to vote. And while you are floating
around on the internet, check out the first two episodes of Season Two of The So Real Life, Derek’s video
podcast. The first episode features Falcon Studios exclusive Erik Rhodes entertaining himself
in the studio during the break, while the second one features Derek’s hilarious
late night search for an ice cream bar. So if you have ever wondered what goes
on behind the scenes at DNR, here is an inside look. Check it out now at
TheSoRealLife.com. It’s free and a whole lot of fun.
