Previously on Derek and
Romaine: This week the show was jumping. Tons of DNR Summer Tour T-shirts from PureVanilla.com were given away. DNR
returned from Utah Pride, the first of four pride events in the month of June.
They had a great time and hung out
with tons of listeners who came out to see them. There were fun guests all week long on the show,
including Lorna Luft in studio as well
as Dana Dane from Erocktavision.com. Chad Allen couldn’t join the show
from the AIDS Ride, but DNR did get an update from Chris Markl, a college
student from Colorado, who has just left on the
Yes Ride
which he created, a bike trip from Seattle to
Boston to raise
money for the developing world. DJ Junior Vasquez was a no-show on
Friday night, but mystery guest Thelma
Houston jumped in nicely. Photos from Utah Pride, including the hot cop who
arrested Derek, and photos from inside the Sirius studios with Dana Dane and
Nikki Clover will be linked in the newsletter next week.
Coming up this week on Derek and Romaine (all times
Eastern, unless otherwise noted):
The week begins with Capital
Pride in Washington DSC. DNR are your emcees on Sunday, June 11th,
from 4:20pm to 7:30pm. Catch them in the Sirius booth from 2-4pm or hang out in
front of the stage and watch the magic. The night before, you will see DNR in the Capital
Pride Parade and later boozing it up at Halo lounge. If you can’t get to DC this
weekend, every weekend in June, DNR are hitting the road and they may be coming
to a city near you! Next up: Portland, OR
Pride on June 17th-18th, and Atlanta Pride on June
23rd-25th. Tons of opportunities to hang with your favorite
radio show hosts. And if you can’t get to these cities, don’t worry.
They will be at more cities later
this year. Monday will be filled with stories from DC as well as another chance
to get a limited edition DNR Summer Tour t-shirt from PureVanilla.com. Also, DNR will
