Previously on Derek and
Romaine: DNR returned from the Seacoast AIDS Walk in
New Hampshire,
with listener donations totaling $41,865.10. The overall event raised $85,000 which was the most
money that AIDS Response had ever raised in a single event. Thanks to all of the DNR listeners who gave so
generously and supported this worthy cause. Derek was sick most of the week with
walking pneumonia, but he and Romaine and Danglin’ Dan still managed to pull
together a great week of shows with fun guests and lots of surprises.
Thursday’s show included a special
Three Year Anniversary Celebration
for OutQ, hosted by Lady Bunny and featuring a live musical performance by Rufus Wainwright. Frank DeCaro and Doria
Biddle joined the last hour of the Thursday show for a million laughs and some fond
memories. Friday featured the very best of Derek and Romaine as they headed to
Las Vegas for
the weekend to emcee Vegas Pride.
Coming up this week on Derek and Romaine (all times
Eastern, unless otherwise noted): Call your
Mom, Sunday is Mother’s Day! This
weekend, join DNR in person in Las
Vegas. The fun
kicks off on Friday night at 8pm with the Las Vegas Pride Night Parade.
Then, join DNR at Hamburger Mary’s at
10pm for a post-parade party that is open to the public. On Saturday, head out
to the Clark County Amphitheater and meet DNR, along with Kathy Sanchez in the
Sirius Satellite Radio booth. DNR will be your emcees all day Saturday, so be
sure to cheer them on from the stage as well. Saturday night, head off to Krave
after Midnight for the official pride after party and you will probably run into
DNR there as well. Tons of
opportunities to hang with your favorite radio show hosts. And if you can’t get
to Vegas, don’t worry. They still
have a full week of fun shows waiting for you to enjoy starting on
